Metro Area: Boston Rate Plan: z2b Drivers on Account: 9 Member Since: January 2002 Average Monthly Bill: $305 As Director of Communications for the Episcopal Church, I have to be in parts of Eastern Massachusetts as diverse as Newburyport and New Bedford, often several times a week. As a city resident (addicted all my life to in-town living!), I cannot afford the grief of owning and parking a car, never mind the money. I haven't owned a car in ten years. Some days I leave from the office on Boston Common; other days I leave from my home in Back Bay. From both locations, I have several choices of Zipcars and never have to go more than a few blocks to find one that's available, even on short notice. Although we use Zipcar primarily for business, I also have a personal account that I use for short trips into the country (my wife and I toss our folding bicycles into the trunk). There were two great discoveries when we moved to Boston 18 months ago: the city itself and Zipcar.
