Though without a car for many years, recent changes in my lifestyle were pressuring me to get one. Living in Hoboken, NJ, I had to consider not only the monthly car lease, but also the high rates of auto insurance, and parking in Hoboken. All together, even the cheapest car I could obtain would cost over $500 a month, and that's not counting maintenance or GAS! Zipcar came along, satisfied all my driving needs with great, well-maintained cars that were available when I needed them. All this without the worry of parking or insurance, at a FRACTION of the cost of owning my own car.
