Team Zipcar

Community Involvement: Pan-Mass Challenge

Team Zipcar and the PMC

2016 will be Boston-based Zipcar's tenth year riding as a team in the Pan-Mass Challenge. Team Zipcar is 25 members strong and, once again this year, will be riding in memory of Chris Cobb. Chris was a founding member of Team Zipcar, who was diagnosed with cancer in April 2012 and passed away at the age of 48 the night after the team finished its ride in 2013.

During the past decade, Team Zipcar has raised over $1.4 million dollars with the help of our many supporters and family members. This year's team goal is to raise $200,000 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

About the PMC

The Pan-Mass Challenge draws 6,000 cyclists from 41 states and eight countries and raises more money than any other athletic fundraising event in the country. The PMC generates more than 50% of the Jimmy Fund's annual revenue and it is Dana-Farber's single largest contributor. Over the past 36 years, PMC cyclists have ridden to raise and contribute $500 million to cancer research.
