Today, Zipcar announced a new partnership with the City of Worcester to bring its “wheels when you want them” membership service to area residents, businesses, visitors and students.  

Six Zipcars are now available for reservation by the hour or by the day in easily accessible locations downtown. The vehicles are parked in designated spots for convenient pick-up and drop-off and can be reserved in seconds on Zipcar’s mobile app, online or over the phone.

Just in time for the summer travel season, Zipcar, and Amtrak Cascades, ranked by National Geographic as one of the best train routes in North America, today announced an expanded partnership to better serve the traveling public. Zipcars are now available for easy access on-site or within walking distance of Seattle’s King Street Station, Vancouver’s Pacific Central Station, as well as Portland Union Station, Salem Station and Eugene Depot, with plans to bring Zipcars to additional stations along the Amtrak Cascades route in the future.

Zipcar announced today its partnership with the Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) and Whistlestop to provide vehicles at the Whistlestop parking lot in San Rafael, Calif., next to the soon-to-open San Rafael Downtown Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) station. Access to Zipcars will provide residents with more transportation options, reduce traffic congestion, alleviate parking demand and help public transit users get to their destinations.

Zipcar launches at Reagan Airport before holiday rush

Zipcar expanded its airport offerings to the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) just in time for Memorial Day weekend, which is expected to be the busiest since 2005, according to AAA’s annual forecast.

Zipcar announced today that it has expanded to 100 more universities and colleges over the past year, bringing the company’s total campus footprint to more than 600 throughout North America. Zipcar is excited to kick off its partnership with the City of Santa Barbara with a ten-car launch this week. Ten Zipcars are parked in designated spots throughout Santa Barbara, including one each in City Garages 10 and 6 and two at the Amtrak Depot lot. The official launch in Santa Barbara builds on a successful program in Los Angeles, where approximately 300 Zipcars are available in more than 200 locations throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.

New York’s Governor Cuomo announced that the Metro-North Railroad has teamed up with Zipcar for its four-phase Ride2Drive program. The 14-car launch will provide transportation options for both New Yorkers and tourists by placing Zipcars at Metro-North stations in Harlem, Hudson, and New Haven. The goal of this program is to provide a convenient and affordable way to extend travel past transit stops. Zipcars will allow travelers to venture into the suburbs, shop, or sightsee without the hassles of personal car ownership.
