Our members' safety is our number one priority. We're in close contact with Toyota on all safety-related recalls, and will pull any impacted cars from our fleet immediately. (If you see a Zipcar available for reservation, it has not been impacted by the recall or it's been fixed). If you have questions about your Zipcar reservation, please contact Zipcar Member Services at 866.4.ZIPCAR (866.494.7227). For more information on the Toyota recall, visit toyota.com/recall. Zipcar has 30 different makes and models, so Zipsters have plenty of other options to choose from.
Update on the 2009-2010 Matrix: Repairs are in progress, and many of the impacted cars are back on the road after being verified by Toyota. The remainder of the recalled 2009-2010 Matrix Zipcars are expected to be back in action by mid-February.
Update on the 2010 Prius: Toyota announced a recall of 2010 Prius cars, which make up less than 1% of Zipcar's fleet. These cars will not be available for reservation until they've been fixed by Toyota. |

We've got a new way for folks to share the fun places
they go in their Zipcars. Want in? All you have to do is bring along a camera
or camera phone and snap some pictures or shoot a video of your next Ziptrip.
(You don't have to be Annie Leibovitz or James Cameron; just capture the
moment.) Become a fan of Zipcar on Facebook and you can post your photo
or video for a chance to be our Ziptrip of the Week. Every Friday this winter,
we'll announce a new Ziptrip of the Week winner on Facebook. So
swing by, get some cool ideas for Ziptrips and post your own for a chance to
be crowned best o' the week.

Remember you're not all alone when you're out there in
a Zipcar. If you're confused, have questions or just want some reassurance
that there's good in the universe, reach for the Zipcar Co-Pilot! It's always
there for you, right in the glove box. (Can it breathe in there? Gosh, we hope
so.)
Open it up anytime you have a question during your reservation. You'll
find tips on how to use the gas card, ways to get help if you're involved in a
fender-bender or what to do if your space is taken. You're the hero of this
journey. Consider the Zipcar Co-Pilot your trusty sidekick.

fall in love all over again

We
love a lot of things. Poetry, a glass of cream soda and, of course, all of our
members. To prove our love, on Wednesday, February 24, we want you all to come down to Steff's, located at 141 2nd St. (on 2nd
between Minna and Natoma) from 5:30-7pm and give us a nice big hug. We'll slide you a drink ticket and if you bring a friend with you who signs up for Zipcar,
we'll give you each $50 in driving credit when they're approved.

Our dream is a world where all Zipcar members have a car right around the corner. To make sure that happens, we're putting out the call for parking spaces. If you
know of a parking lot that can accommodate at least 2 Zipcars for 24/7 use in San Francisco, Berkeley or Oakland, email Jennifer at jpayne@zipcar.com. If she places cars in
that location and you're the first to suggest it, you'll score
$50 in driving credit. (That's a car around the corner and driving credit. Talk
about a win-win.)

berkeley playgreen festival

We're gonna be out in the Berkeley hood with all sorts
of goods for the Berkeley PlayGreen Festival on Friday, February 26 from 10am 'til 5pm. Come on down to sign your friends up for Zipcar to receive all sorts of goodies.
Remember, Berkeley students only need to be 18+ to sign up. If you can't
make it, but are tired of your friends bumming rides, send them to zipcar.com/calstudent to
sign up.

Whenever we think of Tahoe, we think, "Oh, it's so
boring up there. All you can do is ski, sled, have snowball fights and go out at night. Who'd want to spend a weekend

kindness counts

KIND bars have made it to San Francisco and we just love 'em. To celebrate, we'll be
placing two KIND bars in a bunch of our Zipcars from now through
Valentine's Day. Why two? Because we want you to treat yourself and someone
else this February. We're asking you to register the KIND card (the one that
comes attached to the bars) and then give that card and the extra treat to
someone else. Hopefully, your extra valentine will pass the card to another
special person along with a not-so-random act of kindness, and the next person will pass it along, and so on.
At the end of February, we'll be checking to see which Zipster's KIND card has traveled the farthest. Whoever has inspired the most kindness will score $75 in driving credit. Track your results here.
