Trees Ontario - Another way to lessen your environmental footprint

Zipsters can fund the planting of 12 trees annually across the Province of Ontario for just $2.50 per month for one year. Planting 12 trees will absorb approximately 156 pounds of carbon from the atmosphere - helping Zipsters to lessen their already shrinking environmental footprint. A tax receipt will be issued to each participant in the amount of $30 (12 X $2.50) after the final donation has been made. Founded in 1994, Trees Ontario is the largest tree-planting partnership in North America, planting roughly 3 million trees each year in Ontario. In 2007, the Ontario government made a commitment to plant 50 million trees in support of the United Nations' Billion Tree Campaign, designating Trees Ontario as the agency to fulfill this mandate.
