What is the difference between a Standard plan and a Plus plan?
For Standard members, an approved vehicle may include the following: Honda Civic, Volkswagen Golf, Toyota Corolla, or similar. For Plus members, an approved vehicle may include the following: Honda CR-V, Jeep Renegade, Ford Escape, Subaru Crosstrek, or similar.
Will I be billed monthly or annually?
Your monthly fee will be billed each month. Mileage will be billed at the end of each week. If you book additional hourly or daily Zipcar reservations on the weekends, you will be charged at the end of each reservation.
What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel your Commuter membership at any time. You cannot receive a refund for the unused portion of the billing period (month); however, you will not receive a charge for the following months. We ask that you provide one week’s notice prior to the start of your next billing period. To cancel your membership, please call 1-866-4Zipcar. Please note, Zipcar may revise or discontinue the terms of this offering at any time.
Are holidays included in this membership?
Select holidays are not included in this membership:
- U.S. Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Day
- Canada Statutory Holidays: New Year's Day Leave, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day Leave, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day Leave, Christmas Day, Boxing Day Leave
Can I keep my Commuter vehicle on weekends if I need it?
While vehicle reservations outside of Monday (5am) through Friday (7pm) are not included in your membership fee, you can still reserve any available Zipcar near you whenever you need one during the weekends, and you will be charged by the hour or day. Gas, insurance, and maintenance are still on us!
