Cardella joins Zipcar from Boston-based digital media company TVision, where he served as senior vice president of operations. He has also held leadership roles at ChoiceStream, including vice president of research and development, and chief product officer.
New research finds Americans are significantly underestimating the cost of car ownership
Today, Zipcar released the findings of a new study conducted by KRC Research, revealing that Americans are spending twice as much as they think on their personal cars.
Survey respondents reported spending $345 a month on their personal car, while a AAA survey shows they’re spending more than twice as much ($706 monthly).

According to a survey conducted by the car-sharing provider, more than half of Americans ages 18-34 feel that the first day or overnight trip is a good test of a new relationship.
