Zipcar today announced its expansion to Nordic region with its launch in Reykjavik, Iceland. The expansion brings car sharing to even more people who want access to a car without the cost and hassle of ownership.

Zipcars ranging from Hyundai’s i10 and Nissan’s Leaf EV are now available for reservation by the hour or by the day in easily accessible locations in Reykjavik. The vehicles are parked in designated parking bay for convenient pick-up and drop-off.

The launch marks another key milestone in Zipcar’s international expansion, which already includes a well-established presence in over 500 cities and towns across Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.  As a pioneer of the car sharing concept for almost 20 years, Zipcar’s entry into Iceland widens its global network, providing more than one million members access to even more vehicles.
