Zipcar announced the launch of its free park pass program today, just in time for the busy Memorial Day and Victoria Day travel weekends. The free passes enable Zipcar members to visit and park at select U.S. and Canada parks for free, providing more opportunity to easily and conveniently explore places outside of the city, from hiking trails to campsites and beaches.

Zipcar piloted its free park pass program in five states, and due to its overwhelming success, has scaled it to seven states and Canada beginning May 2019.

Free park passes are available in the following states and provinces:

  • Colorado: Colorado Parks and Wildlife
  • Massachusetts: Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation
  • Michigan: Huron-Clinton Metroparks
  • New Jersey: New Jersey Division of Parks & Forestry
  • Oregon: Oregon State Parks Foundation
  • Rhode Island: State of Rhode Island Division of Parks and Recreation
  • Washington: Washington State Parks, Washington Department of Natural Resources and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife

  • Ontario Parks

The free park passes can be found on several vehicles ranging from Subaru Crosstreks and Honda CR-Vs to Toyota Corollas. For more information, visit
