Reserve one of our cars – for a couple hours or the entire day. Do it online or use a phone. We're easy. You can do it online or over the phone. You choose the car you want – there are MINIs, BMWs, hybrids, even pickups. Choose the time slot you want at the location you want. Reserve minutes or months in advance.
Walk to the car, then just hold your Zipcard to the windshield. The doors will unlock, and it's all yours! Your Zipcard will only open the car you've reserved during the time you've reserved it (which means no one else can open your Zipcar during that time, either). All you do is walk to the car and hold your card to the windshield – the doors will unlock.
Drive away... and return to the same reserved parking spot at the end of your reservation. It's that simple.And remember, gas and insurance are included too. Well, we guess you don't need us to tell you how to drive. Gas, reserved parking and insurance are all included though a deductible may apply (if you get in an accident). Just bring your Zipcar back when you're done and park it in the same reserved parking spot. That's all there is to it!
Zipcar 101
INT. HALLWAY - DAY
A sign reading "Zipcar 101" is affixed to the outside of a door. A classroom full of murmurs is heard.
INT. CLASSROOM - DAY
A teacher, dressed in in a suit with combed hair and wire frame glasses stands in front of a class. He is a fine example of academia. He stands next to a TV stand with a TV on the top shelf, and a VCR on the bottom. The TV has a dated look. He inserts a VHS tape into the VCR. The lights dim, the murmuring ceases, and the tape begins to play.

EXT. PARKING LOT - DAY
A man, dressed in dated clothing, circa 1985, enters frame and walks towards a parked Zipcar. His demeanor is stilted, rehearsed and lacks confidence.

He pauses and smiles at the camera.

INT. HOME OFFICE - DAY
The woman opens an envelope and shows the Zipcard that was inside.
NARRATOR (CONT'D)
Or, you can visit your local Zipcar office to pick it up.

The woman is receives a Zipcard from a Zipcar reception, who is giving a thumbs up, and both give big smiles.

The woman is at computer typing. She smiles and types on an Apple IIe. The screen is shown and although the computer is dated, the web browser shows the NEW Zipcar site.
NARRATOR (CONT'D)

Narrator is sitting inside the Zipcar, with his arm hanging out the window.
NARRATOR

INT. HOME OFFICE
The woman pushes the buttons on a large brick style cell phone, while looking at the camera. The screen of the phone is shown, and although the phone is dated, the screen shows an up-to-date text screen.
INT. CLASSROOM - DAY
The students diligently take notes. Their clothing and looks represent the core demographics of what is considered a "Zipster."

EXT. PARKING GARAGE- DAY
The Narrator is leaning on a green wall, behind the Zipcar, that has a large Zipcar logo on it.
NARRATOR
You've picked your stylin' ride and ready to pick up your hot wheels. Now that all you're reserved, just go driving...
EXT. DIFFERENT PARKING GARAGE - DAY
The woman tries to open the car door and looks in the windows of the Zipcar, confused.
NARRATOR (CONT'D)
Oh wait, how do you get in?
The woman shrugs.
NARRATOR (CONT'D)
Easy! Just hold your Zipcard over the card reader, located on the windshield, until you hear the beep. Then the car will unlock.
The woman happily follows the instructions.
NARRATOR (CONT'D)
Get in. (Pause)
Green screen saying "locating the keys"
EXT. STREET - DAY
Narrator is leaning on the trunk of the Zipcar.
NARRATOR (CONT'D)
Now that you're in, how about we locate those keys?
INT. CAR - DAY
The woman exaggeratively nods her head in agreement.
NARRATOR (CONT'D)
If you're having trouble, I'll give you one guess.
The woman lifts a finger and opens her mouth wide to proclaim her guess. The tracking on the VCR skips and the picture gets jumbled. We don't hear her answer.
NARRATOR (CONT'D)
Yup. There they are, located on the steering column, or underneath the dash.
The woman lifts the keys, and starts the car.
NARRATOR (CONT'D)
Oh, great job.
Green screen saying "your co-pilot"
EXT. STREET - DAY
The narrator lounges, outstretched, on car hood.
NARRATOR
Well, happy driving. And remember, if you have any questions, consult the co-pilot. That's the booklet located in the glve compartment. And don't forget to return the Zipcar to its spot.
