The year of the road trip
We commissioned a survey to find out the British public's views on holiday-making this year. It turns out that many Brits are raring to get behind the wheel and reclaim some freedom this summer!
Here are our findings:

Nearly three-quarters of Brits surveyed haven't had a holiday this year, and almost half have had their getaways cancelled
- Nearly one-half of Brits surveyed feel nervous about travelling abroad, even if restrictions are lifted
45% of Brits surveyed cited their main concern against international travel during 2021, and 41% of Brits surveyed said that they are nervous to fly with large numbers of people during 2021. But it's not all bad news for holiday-makers.
The Road Trip Resurgence
- The majority of Brits surveyed said that they are planning on taking a domestic break this summer (2021)
- Brits surveyed are prepared to travel an average of 110 miles from their home for the perfect staycation
- Almost half of the people surveyed are planning on taking up to 4 weekend breaks within the UK this year
