Station to Station Businesses Can Drive An Electric Van for Free!

The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) reached the south circular in October 2021 and is extending to include our entire BID area as of August 2023.

Station to Station have partnered with Zipcar and Lambeth to bring a shared electric delivery vehicle to our business improvement district. This would be FREE to use by any levy paying Station to Station business for the first year and then at lower than market rates for subsequent years.

Get access in two easy steps*.

1. Register with Zipcar for Business

Create a business account with Zipcar for Business and get your first year free (worth £99).

2. Get Approved

Once a Zipcar member, you will need to wait for approval from Station to Station BID that you are a levy paying business.

Here are just some of the reasons why the new electric van is good for the area:

• Encourage local businesses to scrap highly polluting vans

• Reduce the number of vans on the roads generally, helping to tackle the area’s high congestion and pollution levels

• Reduce parking demand in the area

• Ensure local businesses can continue to operate in the current and expanded Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ)

Important things to know

There will be a 100% electric Maxus e-deliver Van* that will be stationed in it's own bay on Norwood High Street.

Once signed up and approved for the scheme, businesses can book the van using the free Zipcar app, and access and drive it free of charge for short business trips in and around Lambeth.

Participating businesses will have to abide to the fair use policy and be responsible for charging the vehicle when needed at the charging point installed where it is stationed.

*The vans are subject to availability and could be swapped for petrol vans on occasion to ensure businesses have access to the vehicles at all times.
