Your car has in-bay charging!

Great news, your Hyundai Ioniq has a charging port in its Car Club bay. Unplug it when you book it, and please remember to plug it in when you end your trip. See below for how to:

How to charge me
  • Take the plug out of the boot
  • Open the cover (there's a button on the driver's side door)
  • Connect the charger the car
  • Connect the other end to the charging port
  • Tap the charging key fob onto the charging point

It will start charging! We take care of the cost, No need to pay!

How to remove the charging cable
  • Tap the charging key fob onto the charging point
  • This will stop the vehicle charging.
  • Remove the charging cable from the car, and the charger.
  • Replace the caps on both sides of the charging cables. Return cable to the boot.

Helpful Tips for the Ioniq

How to start the vehicle? 

All the Ioniq’s are automatic and keyless, but you’ll still need to get the key out of the glovebox, and safely store it on the central partition at the start of your journey. Apply the foot brake, and press the ‘START’ button on the left of the steering wheel, the dashboard will then illuminate.

How do I release the handbreak?

Press on the foot break, pull the handbrake button up to release. You can press the button down to engage the handbreak. 

How to put the car into drive, reverse and park?

There are separate buttons for Drive, Reverse, Neutral and Park. Once the vehicle has started, keep your foot on the food break and select the button you need. 

How to adjust the wing mirrors? 

The mirrors are adjusted using buttons positioned above the window switches in the driver's door. Select if you want to adjust the left or right mirror by pressing the labeled buttons, and then using the directional arrow buttons move the mirror to where you need it to be. 

How to use the headlights and turn signals?

Using the left lever, push up and down to activate the turn signals. The headlights are operated to the left of the steering wheel or the same lever as the turn signals, by rotating the end of the lever. 

How do I release the boot?

To release the boot, simply press the release button under the logo on the boot. 

How to use the windscreen wipers? 

To operate the windscreen wipers, use the lever to the right of the steering wheel. Push the lever up to engage the wipers and further up for faster speeds.

How to release the bonnet? 

The bonnet is released by pulling forward the vertical lever located on the right-hand side of the driver foot well. Once released, the bonnet is opened by sliding 2-3 fingers under the front edge and lifting this lever (the black part), situated in the center of the bonnet.
