Wheathampstead Heritage Trails
With six interesting and varied heritage trails to choose from, this sleepy and historic village in Hertfordshire is a popular destination for walkers. Follow the crystal-clear River Lea along the Lea Valley Circle, stroll through beautiful meadows and the impressive Devil’s Dyke – an ancient Celtic defensive mound – and even follow ancient thoroughfares created by the Romans.

Wye Downs Walk
This circular walk in Kent around the village of Wye follows part of the North Downs Way and passes through the Kent Downs AONB, with landmarks like the Wye Crown cut into the chalk of the North Downs above the village.
