How to start the vehicle? 

To start the vehicle, switch with key blade into second position to start ignition. Please ensure the gear is in a neutral position with the break and clutch applied for safety reasons

How do I release and apply the handbrake?

To release the handbrake, please push the button on the handbrake and release it down. To apply the handbrake, please pull it up. 

How do I apply gear, reverse and park?

To apply gear, clutch before shifting to any gear. For reverse, please lift the ring up and move the gear stick to position R (you should hear a beep signal). For park, move the gearstick to the centre so it is out of gear then press the button on the end of the handbrake and raise the lever to engage the parking brake.

How to adjust the wing mirrors?

The mirrors are adjusted using a joystick positioned above the window switches in the driver's door. The joystick can be twisted to adjust the left and right mirrors, then simply pushed to move the mirror in the corresponding direction. 

How to use the headlights and turn signals?

Use the round switch to the left of the steering wheel. 0 is for off. AUTO is for automatic headlight control. (picture of side lights) is for when the side lights are switched on with the ignition on or off. (picture headlight) headlights are switched on. All the settings will switch off when ignition is off apart from the sidelights. Turn signal is to the left of the steering wheel. Down for left and up for right.

Where is the fuel card?

Open driverside door and look to the side of the dashboard, where you will find the fuel card in a white sleeve. Look towards the door hinges / door jam.

How to release the fuel door? 

The fuel cap is on the left had side of the vehicle, just above the rear wheel arch. Ensure the vehicle is unlocked, and then press on the cap to open it. 

How to use the windscreen wipers?

To operate the windscreen wipers, use the lever to the right of the steering wheel. Push the lever up to engage the wipers and further up for faster speeds.

How do I release the boot?

To release the boot you can use the key or you can press the tailgate button located on the instrument panel. To lower the tailgate use the interior handle. Push the tailgate from above until it is fully closed. Do not push the tailgate button whilst closing as this will unlock the tailgate again

It's a member’s responsibility to always obey the Highway Code when driving any of our vehicles, which includes any signage warning against restrictions on vehicle dimensions or weight. The Gross Vehicle Weight of our Vauxhall Vivaro is 3.1 tonnes and the dimensions of the full vehicle are 530cm (L) x 220cm (W) x 195cm (H). As the vehicles weight is over 2 tonnes, it is restricted from travelling through some areas, most notably the Rotherhithe Tunnel in London, and failure to obey any restrictions will result in a Penalty Charge Notice.
