How Zipcar works

Join online. Once you’re a member you’ll have access to book Roundtrip cars and vans, and our one-way service. Just download the app, reserve, and drive.

Join Zipcar

Apply online, all you need is your driving license and payment card. Once you’re approved, you’re good to go.

Search and book

Use the app to find vehicles near you. Use Roundtrip to hire by the hour or day. Use Zipcar Flex for short one-way trips across town.

End your trip

When you’re done, return your Roundtrip vehicle to the same bay you got it from. For Flex, make sure you end your trip in an approved location.

Join now

Pick it up and drop it off anywhere in our Zipzone (most of London!) and drive it by the minute or hour. Great for last-minute trips, getting to Heathrow or getting to the pub (and cabbing back).

Book a car or van whenever you need it and drive them by the hour or day/s. When you’re done, return it back to the same guaranteed space. Perfect for weekends away or that big shop.

All this included in each trip

Our goal at Zipcar is to make access to vehicles simple and easy for our members. So when you need a car, all you need to worry about is paying for the time you need. As soon as you've been approved, download our app and start looking for cars near you.

60 miles each day

With each booking you get 60 miles of driving free each day of your rental, then every mile after is charged at £0.29.

Fuel

Fuel is on us! The fuel card and instructions are on the dashboard. Remember to leave at least 1/4 tank.

Insurance covered

Zipcar comes with comprehensive insurance, giving you peace of mind on every trip. We told you we've got you covered!
