There’s so much to do in Lambeth that you could show up any day of the year and there will be something to pique your interest. Two amazing venues play a big role in this – the Royal Festival Hall and Brixton Academy. Between them they put on a huge variety of shows all year round meaning no matter what your tastes are, at some point there will be something that caters for you. Parking is accessible in both of these places, so you could be treating yourself to anything from a philosophy talk to a gig from the day’s most popular bands.

On the other hand, you might be on the lookout for some green space to relax in and enjoy a bit of nature. A drive down to Brockwell Park would be a great start with its ornamental garden, ponds and expansive areas of grass. There’s also Streatham Common which is a designated nature reserve. A perfect place for a family picnic, the common is also used as an open air theatre in the summer.
