Ever fancied giving an electric car (EV) a go? Well, we’ve got great news: to celebrate Sustainability Day, on 28 October 2020, we’re teaming up with plant-based pioneers Alpro to give you FREE EV rides!

That’s right! For one day only, between 7am to 10pm, journeys in a one-way Flex e-Golf are free!* Whether you’re heading to the shops, nipping to that important meeting or getting to your appointment, swap to an EV and drive for free!

It's easy being green! With over 300 electric vehicles in our fleet, and a vision to be fully electric by 2025, we want all our members to come over to the green side and try one of our e-Golfs. On Wednesday 28 October 2020, between 7am and 10pm, join the 54,000 members who have already driven an EV.

*From 7am GMT to 10pm GMT 28th October 2020 the cost to hire a Zipcar Flex Electric Car (EV) for Zipcar UK members will be £0. To benefit from the £0 journey charge the journey (including vehicle hold) must start and end in a Zipcar Flex e-Golf between 7am GMT to 10pm GMT on 28th October 2020, anything either side of these hours will be charged at the usual minute/hourly rate. Offer only valid for journeys starting and ending in the Zipzone; journeys ending or stopping outside of London will be subject to a towing charge.  Any charges or fees incurred during the trip will be charged, including but not limited to hold extensions, Penalty Notice Charges, additional mileage (over 60 miles) and any insurance costs passed on should an accident take place. Offer subject to vehicle availability, valid for Zipcar UK approved members only, Zipcar staff are not eligible. Zipcar reserves the right to amend or remove this offer at any time.  

Get there on your own terms

There are two ways to drive with Zipcar: Roundtrip cars or vans where you pick them up and return them to the same bay. Need to go from A to B? Just take a one-way Flex car.

Book a car or van whenever you need it and drive them by the hour or day/s. When you’re done, return it back to the same guaranteed bay. Perfect for weekends away or that big shop.

Pick it up and drop it off anywhere in our Zipzone (most of London!) and drive it by the minute or hour. Great for last minute trips, getting to Heathrow or getting to the pub (and cabbing back).
