New York’s Governor Cuomo announced that the Metro-North Railroad has teamed up with Zipcar for its four-phase Ride2Drive program. The 14-car launch will provide transportation options for both New Yorkers and tourists by placing Zipcars at Metro-North stations in Harlem, Hudson, and New Haven. The goal of this program is to provide a convenient and affordable way to extend travel past transit stops. Zipcars will allow travelers to venture into the suburbs, shop, or sightsee without the hassles of personal car ownership. Zipcar currently has thousands of vehicles for reservation in Greater New York and is eager to see this program grow for both prospective and existing members.
