In honor of Car Free Day, Zipcar is sharing its continued commitment to a world where car sharers outnumber car owners across the globe.

With each Zipcar eliminating the need for up to 13 personally owned vehicles, we are encouraging all urbanites to pick a side: a city with cars and congestion or with shared cars, green spaces and multi-modal options.

To further encourage city-dwellers to give up their car, we’re launching a social media campaign that asks those living a car-free or car-lite lifestyle to “share how you get there” using #sharethewheel.
