At Zipcar, we have a strong internal community of coders and makers who are passionate about advocating for tech education. In an effort to promote technical literacy on this year’s Pi Day, Zipcar worked directly with RaspberryPi.org to to give away 314 of the brand new Raspberry Pi Zero W mini computers through our social channels to. To receive one of the coveted Pi’s, entrants had to tell us a creative way they would use their Pi.  The campaign was a huge success despite a few funny snafu’s - the 314 Raspberry Pi’s got held up in customs because they thought we spelled “pie” wrong and were shipping food. With over a thousand submissions, ideas and content generation, we were able to spread the word about the continued need for technical literacy.
