Zipcar has teamed up with Washington State Parks, making it possible for Seattleites to enjoy time outside the city without owning a car. Zipcar and Washington State Parks have set up 100 cars in Seattle as “adventure-ready” vehicles that have a Discover Pass on board for Zipcar members who want to visit state parks. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to parks and other state-managed recreation lands. “This partnership is a natural progression for us in trying to expand opportunities for the public to get out and enjoy parks,” said Todd Tatum, business development manager for Washington State Parks. Zipcar is excited to be Washington State Parks’ first car-sharing provider to participate in a joint campaign to get the word out about great park destinations and make access easier, and greener, than ever.
