At Zipcar, our car-sharing movement has always been about building community. We believe that should include everyone so, since our inception, we have proudly supported LGBTQ organizations and Pride events as a way to accelerate change. As long as we live in a world where these rights need to be defended, we will continue to support all those in the LGBTQ community and pledge to drive equality forward.

This year, Zipcar Pride programs will be launched in the following cities:

Boston
Zipcar is proud to be the transportation sponsor of Boston Pride, and will march in Boston’s parade on June 9 with three specially Pride-branded vehicles, banners, balloons and swag. Zipcar is also providing Boston Pride with free vehicles to help “drive” the events of Pride month forward.

Chicago
In Chicago, $1 per hour driven in two specially Pride-branded Zipcars will be donated to The Center on Halsted through Zipcar’s “Drive and Donate” program. Zipcar is also sponsoring Chicago’s Pride events throughout the month and will be participating in Chicago’s Pride parade on June 24 in partnership with the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce.  

D.C.
In D.C., Zipcar is a proud sponsor of the Capital Pride Alliance and the D.C. Pride parade. One dollar per hour driven in four specially Pride-branded Zipcars will also be donated to Capital Pride.

New York
In New York, $1 per hour driven in any of four Pride Zipcars will benefit The Center.

Philadelphia
In Philadelphia, $1 per hour driven in three Pride Zipcars will go toward the William Way Organization. Zipcar also supports Philly Pride, providing the organization with in-kind vehicle donations to “drive” the events of Pride month forward.

Portland
In Portland, $1 per hour driven in two Pride Zipcars will be donated to The Living Room. Zipcar is also a proud sponsor of Pride Northwest.

San Diego
Zipcar is a proud sponsor of the San Diego LGBT Pride and will be supporting the event by donating $1 per hour driven in two specially branded Pride Zipcars. The company is also providing free vehicles for San Diego Pride committees.

San Francisco
Zipcar will provide the San Francisco LGBT Center with two specially Pride-branded vehicles for the San Francisco Pride Parade on June 24. Our “Drive to Donate” program will also be available in the city with $1 per hour driven in two Pride cars benefitting the SF LGBT Center.

Seattle
Zipcar is a proud sponsor of Seattle Pride, and will be offering in-kind vehicle donations to help “drive” various events throughout the month of June.

Atlanta, Baltimore, D.C, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Toronto, Vancouver
Our classic green Zipcar parking signs will be permanently replaced by rainbow signs in various neighborhoods across the cities of Atlanta, Baltimore, D.C., Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver, symbolizing our year-round support for the LGBTQ community.
